Traditional Chinese Medicine is a complete system of medicine that combines the use of acupuncture, Chinese herbs, food therapy, acupressure, and massage.

In TCM physiology the organs in our bodies each have a particular channel which circulates fluid, energy and blood to all parts of the body. If the circulation of the channel is blocked at any acupuncture point, a clinical symptom will appear. An acupuncture point is like a station point that when functioning properly regulates the flow of energy through the channel.

With TCM diagnosis the practitioner will identify which organ or organs are in a state of imbalance and causing the stagnation. They will then choose the appropriate acupuncture points and insert very fine needles into the body. Stagnation is cleared and the circulation of the channels is promoted so that clinical symptoms dissipate and are not simply masked over.
